There are PSL1, PSL2.PSL2 NACE for sour service in API 5L standard.
PSL2 LSAW steel pipe is more test required seam weld, pipe body, strip/plate end weld. NACE MR 0175 require the pipe material anti sour service for LSAW steel pipe. Such as H2S gas transportation.
Special Test for NACE:
Chemical Component Analysis especially for S, P content. Hardness Vicker test usually performed.
HIC/SWC test will be carried out according to NACE TM0284 or if agreed in an alternative test refer to ISO15156 Table B.3.
SSC test will be carried out according to NACE TM0177, Solution A.
A four-point bend test piece in accordance with ISO7539-2 or ASTM G39 shall be used and test duration shall be 720 hours. If agreed an alternative test accept refer to ISO15156.
The cost in china lab fees for SSC is 5 times as HIC.
